Lived in Southern California for many years. Went to college at UC Riverside.

Death Valley in August. Friends in Fresno, Folsom, and Sanger. Highway 395 north, and south before it was freeway. Santa Barbara. Windsurfing in Palm Springs. San Fransisco: sleeping in a church, driving up with Scott, visiting friends. Snowed in at Running Springs. Sleeping out at the Rose Parade. Bike rides to the beach and the big one to San Diego and back.
