Visa photos

Bolivia requires us to get a visa to enter the country. This is because the US government makes it difficult for Bolivians to enter the US. Bolivia decided to do the same for people from the US. I say, Good for them.

Last night we took pictures for the visa. I pasted 6 copies together and sent them to Walgreens. Now we have lots of copies for a visa.

I am also writing up an information sheet for our families.

Just a week away. I guess I should pack this weekend.

Final reservations complete

I finally got confirmation for a hotel in Colonia. I guess they are not used to quick responses. Many are full as well.

I also booked passage on the ferry from Buenos Aires to Colonia. It is good to know Spanish because the website for the ferry had a lot of it. When you selected English that meant the titles and buttons to push were in English. Most of the text was in Spanish.

Ferry reservations

I wonder if we will need reservations to travel on the ferry from Buenos Aires to Colonia on Monday February 18.

The ferry line is Buquebus. Here is their website.

Hotels are lining up

I have contacted hotels in Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Have not heard from the one in Colonia. Will need to pick another one soon.

Trip is approaching

We only have 5 weeks before we leave. I guess we should be getting ready. What shoes do we take?

I emailed Mario at SAR in Bolivia. We have the date for the gala/banquet. They are also going to have barbecue the following day.

I also made reservations at a hotel in Montevideo . The Spanish classes came in handy when I sent them an email. It will be hot so we are getting a room with an air conditioner.
