Dinosaurs in Sucre

No we did not see live dinosaurs in Sucre. We went to the cement plant to see dinosaur prints. They are in a vertical face in the plant's quarry. We sat on benches in the back of a truck to get there. Then we walked around the working quarry and looked at the prints. They are in danger of slipping off the rock face. We got to touch the prints. We were lucky because next month they are opening a visitor center to view the prints. No more walking around the graders!

We had lunch at a place that served pizza and lasagna. Last night we had Chinese food! We also saw the last 5 minutes of a Palm Sunday service in the cathedral and the last song of a concert.

This afternoon we went to an interesting textile museum. Not only did we see old weavings (which are very intricate) but we saw two women actually weaving.

This evening we walked up the hill to the mirador (mirar is 'to look' in Spanish so it means look out/viewing area). We sat and had coffee and ice cream as the sun set.

Tomorrow Robin and I leave our traveling companions and head for Peru. We won't actually get into Peru until Thursday. We spend tomorrow night in Copacabana on Lake Titicaca.

Hi Joel and Robin. Good to see that you are still kicking! Mark W. says hi. I hope that Montezuma has left. :-) Nothing new here. Jessie is back and still married. Dave
